Mavti Terri A. Miller siu achievement award

  

This prestigious award is named after Ms. Terri A. Miller, who served the Michigan Association of Vehicle Theft Investigators (MAVTI) in various roles for a span of 20 years, with her most recent role serving as the MAVTI Director from 2023-2025. Terri is the retired Executive Director of the Michigan Automobile Insurance Placement Facility and the Help Eliminate Auto Thefts (HEAT) Program. She currently serves as President of the Michigan Insurance Hall of Fame Board and is a member of the Board of Directors of Auto-Owners Insurance. This first year award will be presented to the selected recipient on at the MAVTI conference in Dearborn, MI on 11/10/26 by Terri Miller herself.


The Michigan Association of Vehicle Theft Investigators (MAVTI) is currently seeking insurance investigator nominees to be considered for the 2025-26 Terri A. Miller Insurance Investigator Achievement Award.


Nomination factors to be considered for this prestigious award:


  • Impact made to nominee’s SIU department and/or insurance company as it relates to auto theft efforts, such as policy and procedure advancements, ring investigations, chop shop identification, auto financing frauds, etc.
  • Impact of the investigator in the SIU/MAVTI/IASIU and law enforcement communities, be it their involvement on a board, training efforts, and any other assistance or positive additions to the communities.
  • Can be nominated for a specific auto theft related investigation. Nomination should be a summary of the investigation with highlights of the investigation emphasized. Please omit confidential information.
